God I always hated this commercial. The first time I saw it, it was in the middle of the night, years ago. I was very sick and delirious with bronchitis. The creepy music and liminal spaces did not help 😭 however I think it is an effective commercial because I come back to watch it every now and then. Still makes me feel hopeless and weirded out though

it was around when i was probably 6 or 7 years old when this commercial seemed to frequently play on the tv in my childhood home's family room. i didn't understand the meaning of the commercial, and i was honestly a bit frightened by the rooms and halls that made an attempt to filled up the commercial, despite their emptiness. the sparsity of people in what appears to be a school, a place meant to contain many people, both young and old, just exhibits such an odd feeling of nostalgia. and now, revisiting this commercial many years later, i understand what is being conveyed, and the message that seems to drive the hardest is that, without happy people that make up places like playgrounds, classrooms, and more, the world will turn into a place of quiet halls, blank rooms, and sad stories. i wanted to write this message so I could communicate what this commercial means to me, for when i was growing up i honestly gazed in awe just looking at these liminal spaces. i believe this is why i feel such a strong connection to the early 2000s, and i always get reminded how much i want to go back to those innocent times. if you happened to come across this message, then you're probably a lot like me by some aspects. however, i'm not/ never was a troubled teen thanks to my loving family and countless friends, but i know this is not the case for countless folks in tough situations. and just so you know, i'm writing this to YOU, not the crowd, and im not telling you to spread love, which is something that you should do, but please spread your awareness and give it to those who need it most. please just listen to what others are communicating. it takes a lot of bravery for some people to say the simplest things, and it doesn't take much to hear them. thx

it's been about a year since i wrote this comment. i randomly thought about this video, and more specifically the song; i was trying to list my top 5 favorite songs and really started thinking back. i completely forgot that i wrote the comment above and, i know it's corny, but i still agree with everything i wrote. my life has been going great recently, not that i am going to share specifics, and i just think about how many people may be experiencing the polar opposite. i am thankful for my life, the good and bad that it contains, and the people who surround me.

I remember seeing this commercial a lot, years back, and of course I never knew what it meant. Such nostalgia. To all struggling teens, know that you are not alone and one day those memories of people bullying you and all that, will become distant memories as you move forward in life. Much love to you all.

I’ve seen both a longer version and this version of these commercials when I was 7. The music and commercial brought joy to my heart to hear teenagers are growing out of their suicidal thoughts and looking to a brighter future that God had in mind. Now that I’m older, I feel blessed to even be talking about this, it brings back so much nostalgia for me.
